Ultimately, it is only the earnings of companies that move their share
price - in the long run. Charts must reflect this overtime.
CCK is a stock you could examine to practice what we teach in our intro to
the stock market classes; ie obtain the annual report, see what the
business does, have a look at its history, even test the product lines if
you can. In this instance, the chart has come down to reflect probably
what the company has left in the bank, its cash value.
Here is where charts can help. You don't have to be an expert accountant
to analyze this company, let the market do this for you. My chart attached
has lines drawn on it, lines of accumulation. If the upper line breaks,
you can say the market opinion is one for improving fundamentals (better
