Goodman Fielder
The old economy stocks; no longer of use, old world, belong to yesterday,
no growth likely etc etc. At least that is how the market perception is
today.
GMF, the maker of Meadow Lea margarine, Burger Rings, Uncle Tobys and many
more household names just isn't in favour; in fact the stock is close to
friendless.
The fundamentals are sound however;
Net Asset Backing is around 80 cents
Div Yield 6%
P/E 15
It is very hard to see the world ceasing to eat, so for the total
contrarians amongst you, this chart is a beauty. Watch for consolidation /
accumulation at NAB levels. But remember, more money is made faster by
trading with the trend. The trend here is not up, but one of likely
consolidation at these levels. Market sentiment will have to turn for this
stock before an up trend starts.
