This is an educational site, the purpose of which is to increase your knowledge of charting, and perhaps more importantly, help you to understand your own psychological approach to investing in the market. I believe successful charting is about 40% work on charts, and probably at least 60% knowledge of psychology; your ability to handle your emotions, and be disciplined enough to follow rules.

The idea of charts is to help us identify stocks which may be trending up, to buy, or trending down, to sell short. It has been our experience that all the known information about a company is very quickly priced into its stock price, both public and insider knowledge. Charts will help you identify this.

The site will do several things initially; examine some past patterns, and their result, so that we can apply that knowledge to the same pattern next time, and secondly, examine current patterns forming, to see if we can identify the trade, and make a forecast of the likely move, based on the charting pattern.

An effective chartist accepts responsibility at all times for their own decisions.

Here at EIS, everyone puts in a lot of time and energy into charting. It's been very rewarding, (and we've hardly even started !), and we absolutely love doing it.
